Chris Harrison, who we all know as the former host of “The Bachelor,” has been booked for a new dating show. The show will be streaming on Fox Nation, the streaming service fans of Fox News might be familiar with.
Since it is premiering on a service associated with a conservative network, you might be wondering what makes a dating show a good fit for Fox Nation. Many of us associate reality dating shows with windmill romps or bikini chats in Soul Ties. But as far as the announcement goes, the pitch for the show is heavily based in faith and marriage.
“We were inspired by the faith-driven renaissance happening across America,” Harrison said in Fox’s announcement.
The show, “Chris Harrison’s The Vow,” follows Jace Cates, 30, as he meets 10 women seeking marriage. Their dates will include conversations about faith, family and plans for the future, and will be encouraged to quit if they no longer see the relationship working.
Harrison’s new hosting job comes after his 2021 departure from “The Bachelor” franchise after 19 years. He left following backlash over his defense of contestant Rachael Kirkconnell after photos surfaced of her attending an antebellum plantation-themed party. Harrison later apologized, ABC News reported.
The first two episodes premiere Nov. 11 on Fox Nation. The six-episode season continues on Wednesdays through Dec. 9, according to the network’s release.
